ENCIPHER-WINNER (x2) - Class 1 Hcp NORTHAM - 1000m
ENCIPHER made an exciting-almost heart stopping return to racing when he got up in absolutely the very last stride to win the 1000m class 1 event at Northam. Champion jockey Paul Harvey was at his very best on the son of Bletchley Park as he showed both patience and vigour to just about lift him over the line. Encipher was having his first start under the care of new trainer Adam Durrant, and didn't let stable followers down. Having already won two races earlier in the day, the Durrant stable was on fire and Encipher certainly kept the flames burning as he was a well supported 5/2 favourite. Both trainer and jockey are of the opinion that Encipher is certainly up to winning in the city at Belmont Park during the winter season, and he'll be given every opportunity to do just that by being restricted to shorter races over the coming months...
