| Paul King bounced The Baron straight to the front from barrier rise and rated him perfectly in front to win in easy style. Once they left him alone in front in the middle stages of the race, it was all over as he sprinted home in 33 and change the last sectional (600m) which meant the others would have had to get home quicker than Bernborough to beat him.
This was his sixth win and he now becomes our equal most successful horse-by number of individual wins..
