| FINALLY-and under the guidance of his fourth trainer, JAKE THE MUSK won a race!
Conditioned by Ascot based Paul Jordan, and under the care of Albany based Steve Wolfe for the preceeding two weeks, Jake was entered for the perfect race-this 1300m maiden in less than moderate company and having the advantage of barrier 1. Jockey Shaun McGruddy used that advantage and sent him straight to the front where he was never headed and eventually won with a leg in the air by just under 3 lengths.
Now he\'s broken his maiden status, let\'s hope he can go on with the job and win a few more! |
