The Blackfriars-La Carnessa filly is a 3/4 sister to another dual Stakes Winner in WAVE ROCK, winner of the Ascot One Thousand Guineas and Natasha Quality.

Trainer Michael Grant always said that Wave Rock was lengths better than CAT'S FUN who ended up winning the WA Derby in the same year that she broke down as the likely favourite for the Oaks/Derby double. And of course-he went on to win the Perth Cup too. This leggy, impressive looking filly is by the same sire as Wave Rock from her half sister La Carnessa. 

Blackfriars was a top class racehorse who won at the highest level taking out the Group 1 VRC Derby in his classic year. He has an outstanding sires pedigree, being by the mighty DANEHILL from one of Australia's greatest winner producing mares, Kensington Gardens. He's a proven stallion and throws individuals with plenty of bone and quality about them.
